5 Exercises for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis
Lumbar spinal stenosis can make walking, standing, and daily movement frustrating. In this video, Dr. Robin shares exercises designed to support spinal positioning, improve mobility, and help you move more comfortably throughout the day.
If you’ve been diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis, you may already know how frustrating it can be. Many people experience low back discomfort, leg fatigue, numbness, or tingling that can make walking or standing for longer periods difficult.
In the video Dr. Robin demonstrates several simple exercises designed to support better spinal positioning, improve mobility, and encourage healthy nerve movement.
Seated Cat Cow: To mobilize and stretch the spine
Standing Tilt / Tucks: Good for a reset when you are out for a walk
Lunge with Pelvic tuck: This helps open the hip flexors and create space in the spine
Sciatic Nerve Floss: To get the large nerve gliding in the spine
Shoulder External rotation with a band: This helps reset posture to avoid low back pinching
If lumbar spinal stenosis has been limiting your activity or causing discomfort, small changes in movement and posture can make a meaningful difference. The exercises in this video are designed to help you move more comfortably and stay active.
